The Tempered Room pastries are on point. I shared the chocolate bread pudding and it was delectable. Sweet but not overly so and fresh. For the price of the pastries they are a good size (hence the sharing...or you don't have to!).
The coffee shop is inviting and cozy to hang out in. You can also pick up Blackbird baking bread there as well. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area! -

The Tempered Room is one of the most hipster coffee shops/bakeries in Toronto. From the wood, minimalist design to the simple coat rack with iron hangers, it's perfect.
It's a coffee shop brewing all kinds of coffee from drip to lattes. In addition, it's a French bakery with really good pastries from savory to sweet like their divine nutella roll. Wow. It's the dream for any chocolate lover.
They also have plenty of seats from chairs to small tables to a long table for community sitting. -

Tempered room has really improved their service.
This has become my go to café / coffee shop /bakery in Parkdale. The ham and cheese croissant is next level delicious! I crave it and I have to go down the street and get me one at least once a week!
Lovely flakey and buttery croissants. Soft and sweet sourdough loafs made in house.
Tempered Room always has a nice selection of baked savoury and sweet choices for breakfast and lunch. Good coffee and great teas! -

This is one of my go-to dessert places when I am in Parkdale. The desserts are all freshly baked and the croissants are some of the best that I've had in the city! I love the interior of this place - it is very cozy looking and there is usually room to sit and do work. The plates are also very pretty. The only downside to this place is that sometimes they are VERY slow...even when there is no line. For example, last time we were there the person serving was moving extremely slowly (even though there was only one couple ahead of us). It made us think that she was definitely on the "legal specialty" while working. Apart from that one time, all of our experiences have been great!
